【EVENTS】1st July 2025  Update
On 5th and 6th 2025, the 5th Asia Inclusive Smart City Conference - Shaping the Future: Innovation and Logistics for Sustainable Smart Society (organized by Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University (GSMKU), Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS), Chulalongkorn University Transportation Institute (CUTI), National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia (BRIN), Institute of Transport Science and Technology, Vietnam (ITST), and others) was held in Kyoto, Japan, where joined as a panelist in panel discussion and chaired open session. The two-day international conference provided very insightful discussions on how to realiza an inclusive smart city in ASEAN from the perspective of innovation and logistics. On 29th April 2025, Digital Economy Promotion Agency of Thailand (DEPA) and Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN) started discussion on a cooperative framework to concretize smart city projects, build digital infrastructure, and promote digital entertainment business. Under Thailand-Japan cooperation, in-depth discussion are underway to generate a new social system that creates new business models and better public services while agilely responding to the ever-changing urban issues and citizens' needs. 【NEWS】1st April 2025  Update
On 25th March 2025, after hearing the parties concerned about developing human resource education programs and qualification systems to promote decarbonization in Singapore's Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs), a basic agreement was reached at a working-level meeting on the direction of the basic design of the program and the future steps to be taken. All are considering a comprehensive design that incorporates Japan's experience and knowledge in this area. Please contact us if interested.

【NEWS】1st February 2025  Update
On 17th January 2025, Meinhardt and Japan Overseas Institute for Transportation and Urban Development (JOIN) signed an MOU to jointly realize smart city projects in ASEAN countries. The MOU will leverage the knowledge and synergies of both organizations and Japan-Singapore, while utilizing Minhardt's integrated planning, design, and project management capabilities and digital experience and knowledge, and JOIN's extensive network and expertise in infrastructure expert support to develop and implement smart city projects abroad, and is intended to jointly promote innovative and sustainable urban development in third countries, with a focus on ASEAN. The MOU will also proceed under the framework of the MOC signed between Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in November 2024. 【NEWS】1st February 2025  Update
On 14th January 2025, the Starwood oil production plant in Singapore for the Agarwood Project, a national project of Singapore and Lao PDR celebrating the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, was soft-opened. The Agarwood Project, which is expected to become a new industry in Lao PDR, consists of a variety of novel projects such as agarwood oil production, biochar production, satellite-managed afforestation, and carbon credit generation, and has been promoted through industry-government-academia collaboration by both counties.
